F&M Trust donates to Orbisonia Food Pantry

December 8, 2021

F&M Trust donated $2,500 to the Orbisonia Food Pantry, which serves between 60 and 70 families each month through the Orbisonia/Rockhill ministerium.

“Across the country, local pantries are fighting to stem the tide of food insecurity,” said Tim Henry, President and CEO of F&M Trust. “As a community bank, F&M Trust is pleased to support the Orbisonia Food Pantry as it meets the needs of residents in Huntingdon County.”

Pastor Jim Hullihen of Sugar Run Church of the Brethren in Shirleysburg said the donation will help the food pantry to replenish its shelves. Hullihen said the pantry is serving an increasing number of families as COVID-19 benefits expire.

“As some of those programs end, we’re seeing people starting to come back,” Pastor Hullihen said. “The greatest need is usually between January and summer, so this donation will help.”

In 2021, F&M Trust has donated $75,000 to local schools and community service organizations to assist with COVID relief efforts.
